• High cholesterol (Hyperlipidemia)
• Co-existing hypertension and high cholesterol
• Angina (chest pain) associated with coronary artery disease
• Reduction of cardiovascular risk in appropriate patients
• Prevention of complications such as heart attack and stroke when prescribed as part of cardiovascular risk management.

• Muscle pain

• Increased liver enzymes
• Important
• Rarely, Atorvastatin can cause serious muscle-related problems. Unexplained severe muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, especially with dark-coloured urine, should be reported to a doctor promptly.
• Similarly, symptoms such as yellowing of the skin/eyes, unusually dark urine or persistent abdominal pain may indicate liver problems and require medical evaluation.

Precautions for A2 TABLET

• Prescription medicine — use only under medical supervision.
• Inform your doctor if you have liver disease or a history of abnormal liver-function tests.
• Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, heart problems or very low blood pressure.
• Report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness promptly.
• Avoid excessive alcohol consumption because it can increase the risk of liver-related problems with Atorvastatin.
• Avoid grapefruit/grapefruit juice unless your doctor says it is safe, as it may increase Atorvastatin exposure.
• Inform your doctor about all medicines and supplements you are taking, particularly antibiotics, antifungal medicines and other cholesterol-lowering medicines.
• A2 should not be used during pregnancy because of the Atorvastatin component.
• Breastfeeding should be discussed with your doctor before starting treatment.
• Do not use the medicine if you have previously experienced an allergic reaction to Amlodipine, Atorvastatin or any component.
• Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C, protected from direct sunlight and moisture.
